A Gala, A Letter and a New Way Forward

As some of you may be aware, we had the privilege of attending the IEFPA Convergence Conference in Denver, CO. While there, we also had the honor of participating in the Matthew Shepard Gala.

The conference was an amazing experience that left us feeling inspired and motivated. The Matthew Sheppard Gala was a particularly moving event, reminding us of the importance of advocating for equality and justice for all individuals, regardless of their background or orientation. We were impressed by the passion and dedication of the speakers, and left with a renewed sense of purpose in our own work. We are grateful for the connections we made and the insights we gained, and look forward to applying them in our efforts to create positive change in our community. Overall, it was an unforgettable trip that left a lasting impact on all of us who attended, and resulted in new acquaintances, fresh insights, and a renewed sense of purpose for the upcoming year.

Drum roll, please! We've got some seriously awesome news in a form of the letter: We're officially a nonprofit! This means that we are recognized by the government as an organization that is dedicated to serving a social cause rather than making a profit. As a nonprofit, we will have access to certain benefits such as tax exemptions and the ability to receive donations from the public. Additionally, being a nonprofit will allow us to focus solely on our mission and the impact we are making, rather than on generating revenue. We are excited to continue our work as a nonprofit and make a positive difference in our community.

The conference was a total game-changer! We're hyped up from all the knowledge we soaked up, plus the amazing news that we're officially a non-profit. Watch out world, we're charging ahead full steam to conquer our goals!
