Some things the job takes from you that a day off does not give back. This is a day designed to start returning them.
Wellness Day at the Farm is a full-day wellness experience at a working farm in Crownsville, Maryland — built specifically for first responders, and hosted in partnership with Maryland Therapeutic Riding. It is one of the most unusual and powerful events RFP has ever offered.
What the day includes:
🐴 Equine-assisted learning session — a structured, evidence-based experience with horses that builds self-awareness, mindfulness, and emotional regulation. No riding experience needed. No riding required. Just presence, and what happens when you slow down enough to connect with an animal that responds to exactly what you bring into the space.
🐐 Time with the farm animals — horses and goats both. If you have never spent time with a goat, you are in for something unexpectedly good.
